Ironbridge, Shropshire

Ironbridge in Shropshire is a place of beauty and fascination! It is steeped in history and, in the surrounding countryside, there is a wealth of things to do and see!

The famous iron bridge, the first of its kind, was built by Abraham Darby III in 1779, crossing the River Severn near Coalbrookdale. The village of Ironbridge grew up around it.
