Southwold, Suffolk. A Gem of a Seaside Town on the East Coast

If you have never been to Southwold you should pencil it in to your calendar before to long. The town sits on the Suffolk coast and holds a few surprises if you haven’t read up on it before you go, not least the lighthouse in the town rather than on or in the sea. The pier is especially pleasing and quirky having the typical attractions but completely different to any I had seen before. The row of beach huts along the front change design and colour as you walk along ending in a beautiful collection of huts sitting in the sand dunes. With it’s own brewery and a good selection of privately run shops, galleries and restaurants it makes for a good day out or longer if you have the time. There has got to be a third picture sometime!
